Event Registration, Fees & Refund Guidelines

The Lakewood Ranch Jewish Club is a volunteer-run community organization dedicated to bringing people together through social, cultural, and educational programs. We work hard to keep our events welcoming, affordable, and easy to participate in. To help members better understand how event pricing works, we are making our registration process more transparent.

Event Pricing

Event fees are set to cover the direct cost of the event such as restaurants, venues, tours, speakers, or entertainment. A small portion of each event fee also helps support the Club’s operating expenses, such as the online platforms and tools used to organize events and communicate with members. These modest costs allow our volunteer-led organization to continue offering a wide range of activities throughout the year.

Credit Card Processing Fees

Online registrations are processed through our event platform, which charges a credit card processing fee. To provide greater transparency, going forward events will display the credit card processing fee separately from the event price during registration on Wix. These processing fees are charged by the payment processor and are typically about 3% of the transaction amount, although the exact amount may vary slightly depending on the payment method used.

Refunds

Event pricing and planning are based on confirmed attendance; registration fees are generally non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to a replacement attendee. This policy helps the Club manage financial and administrative costs fairly for all members. Thank you for your understanding and support.

•   If you can’t make an event where you purchased tickets directly from a third party (i.e.: Asolo Theater) contact the venue for exchange or refund.

•   Consider using our Facebook page to post your tickets “for sale”.

•   The Club will try to find a replacement attendee for your spot(s) by connecting you with members who may have tried to register after the event sold out.
